Peugeot 404 50th Anniversary Rally

All Peugeot 404 and worm drive Peugeots are

invited to

attend the 50th Anniversary rally for the 404, to be held in

the South Island from Monday 05 April to Saturday 10

April 2010.

Program:

Day 1 Monday April 5th 2010

Meet in Picton. A group booking has been made for the

6.25pm Interislander crossing (Car and two passengers $228.00 one way).

Overnight Picton

Day 2 Tuesday April 6th 2010

A morning visit to the "Knights of the Sky" museum

at Omaka before driving to Hanmer Springs. It is

hoped we will have access to the Molesworth Road.

If permission cannot be gained we will travel via the

Awatere Valley, Nelson Lakes and Maruia Saddle.

Overnight Hanmer Springs

Day 3 Wednesday April 7th 2010

Depart Hanmer Springs to Greymouth over the Lewis

Pass through Reefton, Westport and Punakaiki

(Pancake Rocks).

Overnight Greymouth

Day 4 Thursday April 8th 2010

Depart Greymouth via Moana and Lake Brunner,

cross Arthurs Pass to Christchurch

Overnight Christchurch

Day 5 Friday April 9th 2010

From Christchurch to Akaroa, via Governors Bay,

Diamond Harbour and the bays of Banks Peninsula

to Akaroa. It is hoped a visit to a collection of very

rare vintage and sporting cars will be possible

enroute.

Anniversary dinner at the Akaroa Cruising Club to

celebrate the birthday of the Peugeot 404.

Overnight Akaroa

Day 6 Saturday April 10th 2010

An all French car show will be held at the Akaroa

Recreation Ground from 10.00am to 2.00pm. All

French cars are welcome, and the local Peugeot,

Citroen and Renault Clubs will be invited, as well as

French cars from the Vintage Car Club.

All going well, this will your chance to see Bugatti,

Delage and maybe even a Facel Vega!

Accommodation bookings are the responsibility of the individual

entrants.
